29 Tough-Love, Yet Positive Affirmations for Women in Business

A pep talk + printable affirmation cards for my business girliepops.

Okay, so I turned a year older recently and feel... infinitely wiser?!

Maybe that’s a stretch. But one thing I do feel is a deep, slightly chaotic urge to share the spicy truths I’ve collected over 29 laps around the sun—as a human, a business owner, and someone who’s worked with 40+ clients navigating the rollercoaster that is building your own thing.

These are the things I’ve whispered to myself before sending invoices, the stuff I’ve vented in voice notes to biz besties, and the reminders that helped me hit "publish" even when I wanted to curl up and become a croissant.

So today, I’m dishing out 29 tough-love yet POSITIVE affirmations — the kind that don’t just sound cute on Pinterest, but actually shake you out of your spiral and back into action.

This one’s for the girliepops in business—with a terminal case of perfectionism, imposter syndrome, procrastination, or a full-body ick whenever it's time to sell.

Pick your mirror mantra, screenshot the heck out of it, or download the printable affirmations cards at the end. Let’s go!

The Perfectionist

Positive affirmations for the one who got told her handwriting was 11/10 when she was 8, and has been chasing perfect since

#1 NO ONE cares what my home office looks like, post the damn video

#2 I spend 1000% more time thinking about myself than others do — get out there and be cringe

#3 My DIY logo? Slaying well enough until further notice.

#4 My website doesn’t need to be perfect to exist. Publish it.

#5 Done is infinitely hotter than perfect

#6 If someone’s keeping track of my typos, that’s between them and their therapist.

Perfectionism will keep you in the planning phase forever. These affirmations are your permission slip to show up, mess up, and keep growing anyway.

The Burnout Baddie

Positive affirmations for the one who said goodbye to the 9–5… and now stresses in business owner 24/7.

#7 More hours does not equal more success. My magic isn’t measured in output.

#8 Taking it slow doesn’t mean I don’t want it badly enough.

#9 I DO NOT need six figures, a podcast, or a TED Talk to live a blooming good life.

#10 I’m not behind. I’m a main character on my own timeline.

#11 The economy won’t collapse if I take a break. Go outside and touch some grass.

The Procrastinator

Positive affirmations for the one who suddenly MUST reorganise her entire wardrobe instead of getting started on her to-do list for the day.

#12 I don’t need another $499 course. I need to believe I’m already capable.

#13 I can achieve the same results with or without motivation.

#14 Just pick a 5-min win. This is not the Olympics.

#15 Future me doesn’t need a superhero, she needs me to send an email.

#16 I’m not “planning,” I’m procrastinating in a cuter font. Close the Notion tab.

#17 I absolutely do not need to write a new to-do list.

The Pricing People-pleaser

Positive affirmations for the one who gets cold sweats just THINKING about discussing $$$ on a call.

#18 I’m not here to sell, I’m here to vibe and listen.

#19 My dream client will respect my prices.

#20 Overdelivering is a trauma response. Not a pricing strategy.

#21 This isn’t an audition. It’s a two-way interview.

#22 Saying “let me think about it” is giving smart, strategic queen energy.

The Self-doubter

The one with imposter syndrome so strong, it could carry the emotional weight of an entire bridal party.

#23 Confidence is practiced delusion, not a personality type.

#24 Even the experts have cried over not being able to figure out a website integration (it’s a fact)

#25 My competency as a business owner is in NO WAY tied to how much money I make.

#26 OR how many followers I have, how aesthetic my content is, or what my hair looks like on IG stories.

#27 There’s always gonna be someone better than me. It’s my choice whether I get jealous, or cheer them on.

#28 Three people watching is still a crowd. Go give them a show.

REPEAT AFTER ME FOR #29.

My main goal is to have FUN along the way

Eat the snack. Hit publish on that post. Romanticise the heck outta your biz. Be delulu (within reason).
